Head to a sporting event

Depending on what season it is, you can catch a basketball game or a football game locally. This is a fantastic date for the sport enthusiast. Wofford College’s website, has a schedule of different sporting events you can attend. If you are a Clemson Tigers fan or Carolina Gamecocks fan check their schedule, purchase tickets, and head out to the college to watch your favorite college team play. Rather watch pro sports? After you are done with your picnic, you can enjoy the park!

Have lunch at your child’s school together

For those extra busy dads, this is a convenient date that you can fit right into the middle of your day. Most schools allow you to come eat lunch with your child. Take her shopping

Remember that scene in Pretty Woman where Richard Gere took Julia Roberts shopping? Start with that in mind, but turn down the volume a few notches. Rather than high-end boutiques, head to the mall or a department store- just make sure it has a dressing room. Set a budget, big or small, and take your little girl out shopping. Make it all about her. Let her try on dresses, swim suits, or just about anything she wants, and let her model it for you. Tell her how cute/pretty she looks. Hold her bags for her. Whether or not you buy any of the clothes she tries on, this is a date that puts all of your attention on her and will give her a nice boost of confidence. Inside of the Westgate Mall is a shop called Justice, a clothing store just for girls, with sizes ranging from 5-21. Kohl’s, located at 7600 Warren H Abernathy Hwy in Spartanburg is another great place you can take her shopping.

No matter where it is you decide to go with your child on a date, as long as you have to opportunity to spend time together and have fun, it will definitely be a memorable experience, for not only your child, but for you as well.
