Home Depot Kids’ Projects: Pick up your Valentine Tic-Tac-Toe Project for Free at Home Depot on February 6th, 2021.

Worth a Trip to Greenville

South Carolina Children’s Theatre, Go, Dog, Go
See Go, Dog, Go at South Carolina Children’s Theatre from February 6th through February 21st, 2021. There are options to attend performances in-person as well as virtually. In-person tickets are $20. The virtual experience is $50 per household and includes supplies for performance-related crafts for up to 2 children. Additional craft supplies can be purchased for $10 per box.

Swamp Rabbits Hockey
Cheer for the home team at a Swamp Rabbits Hockey home game in February. Games offer a great opportunity for safer family fun that everyone will enjoy. The arena is selling seats in pods, allowing for distance of at least 4 chairs between each family or group of friends!

Now is a great time to get outdoors and experience all the adventures that will be unpleasant in the heat of spring and summer.

Spartanburg Library Events Not to Miss in February

Q-Tip Valentine’s Card, February 11th, 2021 4:30 – 5 pm. You’ll need paint, paper and Q-tips, then follow along with this online workshop to make Valentine’s Day cards.

Peanut Butter Science, February 16th, 2021, 4:30 to 5 pm. In this virtual event for tweens, they’ll learn about various things that can be made with peanut butter as well as the contributions George Washington Carver made to science and agriculture.

Take 2: Penguin Party, February 25th, 2021 4:30 – 5 pm. Learn about penguins and make a penguin craft. Virtual

Unbored: Party Games, February 24th, 4:30 to 5:45 pm. Teens are invited to join online party games over Zoom. Prizes will be awarded. Register in advance.

The library also offers virtual story time on Tuesdays at 11 am.

Parent/Child Dates

I know that Father/Daughter and Mother/Son date events can sound a little exclusive. If you like the theme of an event and your family doesn’t perfectly fit the category, don’t be afraid to call and ask if you can still register. Many venues just want parents to have fun with their kids.

Daddy Daughter Date Night Friday, February 12, 2021 at 6-7:30 pm at Hearts of Clay. This annual Valentine’s Daddy Daughter Date Night includes chocolate, candies, cookies and soft drinks and water. Call to reserve your seat. $5 per family plus cost of pottery.
