There are plenty of things to see and do in the Spartanburg and Greenville area of South Carolina this 4th of July weekend.
While July 4, 2021, might still look different than other years because of the coronavirus pandemic, there are some events happening. Plus we’ve come up with a few other ways to celebrate this special holiday as well with your family.

Spartanburg, SC Area Fireworks
Red, White, and Boom
The City of Spartanburg announced that while it will be different from past years, the 2021 Red, White & Boom show will happen. More details to come.
Greer Freedom Blast
June 26th in Greer
Greer Freedom Blast will start at 6 pm with live music and activities and end at 10:30 pm with fireworks.
July 2nd, 2021 at Shipwreck Cove
Enjoy swimming and having fun at this popular waterpark, finished with a fireworks display for just $8 per person. The event runs from 7-10 pm. Shipwreck Cove Event Page
July 4th, 2021 in Simpsonville
Celebrate Simpsonville will begin at 6 pm with live music and conclude with fireworks.
4th of July Events Worth the Drive
These 4th of July events are a little farther from Spartanburg, but offer Independence Day family fun worth a drive.
Historic Easley 4th of July Festival
July 3rd & 4th, 2021 in Easley
The annual festival will include two days of fun and end with fireworks, which will start at 9:30 pm. You can see the fireworks within one mile of downtown Easley.
4th of July Celebration
July 3rd in Seneca
The 4th of July Celebration in Seneca at Gignilliat Field will open the gates at 2 pm with live music. No pets or coolers allowed; food and beverage available for purchase. Fireworks start at 9:30 pm.
Fourth of July in Honea Path

This event will begin at 11 am with vendors and other fun activities. Details not yet announced yet.
Lights on the Lake
July 2nd at Lake Greenwood
Head over to Lake Greenwood for fireworks, which start at 9:30 pm.
Fireworks Display in Hendersonville, NC
July 4 in Hendersonville, NC
See fireworks in Hendersonville, NC, about an hour north of Greenville. the event kicks off at 6 pm with live music. The display may be viewed from downtown Hendersonville and the south side of town near the intersection of Hwy. 225 South and Hwy. 176.

The Wells Fargo Red, White, and Blue Festival is a giant annual event in Downtown Greenville that includes live music on multiple stages, food, drinks, and a kid zone. Fireworks will take place at 9:45 pm. Visit the city’s site for information on parking, maps of vendor locations, band information, and more!
