The Announcement from Spartanburg District One
“Spartanburg One remains committed to providing the senior Class of 2020 with a graduation ceremony that commemorates the hard work of our graduates in a dignified manner while also adhering to social distancing requirements. Graduation will be held for both Chapman and Landrum High Schools on Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at each school’s football stadium, respectively. If needed, inclement weather make-up dates will be Friday, May 29th at 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm or Saturday, May 30th at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. We are thankful that Governor McMaster has allowed school districts to conduct graduation ceremonies as an exception to the current Stay-At-Home executive order. Following social distancing guidelines, only seniors and staff participating in the graduation ceremonies will be allowed on the field or in the school buildings. Every senior will be provided with a limited number of tickets that will ensure our ability to appropriately distance guests in the stands. Additional details for both Chapman and Landrum High School graduations will be provided over the course of the next few weeks to include parking, arrival times, entering/exiting the stadium, and other specific procedural plans. Thank you for your support as we continue to do all that we can to provide our seniors with graduation ceremonies that will be safe and dignified to honor the accomplishments of each and every graduate. “
