Here it is, the Spartanburg list full of Halloween themed events and places to trick-or-treat. We will be continuing to add to this list of trick-or-treating events as more events are announced. No one wanted a rainy Halloween! But here’s a list of Indoor Trick or Treating and Halloween events in Spartanburg and Rescheduled Halloween Events in November to keep the spooky festivities going.

Indoor Halloween Events in Spartanburg (for that Rainy Halloween)

It’s a rainy Halloween week. While it’s not the weather we would have preferred, there are a number of indoor Halloween events in the Spartanburg area. Grab those costumes, you can still celebrate even if it’s raining!

Halloween, October 31, 2019- Trick or Treat at Landrum Library, the library will be giving out candy all day to kids in costume. There’s also a preschool story time at 10:30 am. Many Spartanburg libraries are doing events indoors on Halloween. Including:

  • October 31, 2019 at 3:30 pm – Teen Halloween Party – Cowpens Library
  • October 31, 2019 at 6:00 pm – Monster Mash – Boiling Springs Library

Halloween, October 31, 2019 10 am – 1 pm- Toddler Time Halloween at Big Air Spartanburg Halloween treats and jumping fun, age 6 and under, $8

Halloween, October 31, 2019- Trick or Treat at Westgate Mall from participating stores. 5 -6 pm (Spartanburg)

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Trunk or Treat at Morningside Baptist Church, 6-7:30 pm (897 S Pine St , Spartanburg). This event will be inside in the event of rain.

Halloween, October 31, 2019 Will be moved indoors if it rains Trunk or Treat at Lyman Wesleyan Church in Lyman, 6-8 pm (Lyman)

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Trick or Treat at TCMU Spartanburg will have trick or treating from 9-5 (free with admission). (Spartanburg)

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Trunk or Treat from 6-8 pm at the Church at the Mill (4455 Anderson Mill Rd., Moore). This event will be moved indoors in the event of rain.

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Candy and games will be throughout the store at Publix at Hillcrest Shopping Center (1905 E Main St), 4-7 pm (Spartanburg).

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Candy and games will be throughout the store at Publix in Duncan (2153 E Main St Ste B9), 4-7 pm (Duncan).

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Candy and games will be throughout the store at Publix at Thornblade (411 The Pkwy), 4-7 pm (Greer).

Halloween, October 31, 2019-Trick or Treat at CC Woodson Community Center, indoors! Other activities include music and a “Spooky Walk,” 5:30 – 8 pm

Halloween, October 31, 2019- Fall Fest with indoor Candy Dash at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, Inman, 6 – 8 pm

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Boo on Mill (Inman), 6-8 pm — note due to weather forecast this event will be held in the First Baptist Church Gym (14 N. Howard St. | Inman, SC 29349)

Halloween, October 31, 2019- Festival at First at First Baptist North Spartanburg – event will be held indoors – free event with candy, food and fun! 6- 8 pm

Halloween, October 31, 2019- Hope Point Church, Asheville Highway – trunk or treat event moved indoors, 6 – 8 pm

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Allergy-Friendly Trunk or Treat, Peridot Beauty Parlor back parking lot beginning at 5:30pm. This event will be moved indoors in the event of rain. All Treats will be FREE of GLUTEN, DAIRY, DYE, and NUTS!! (Spartanburg)

Halloween, October 31, 2019Boo Bash at Haywood Mall The event will include trick or treating, games, music and more! 4-8 pm. (Greenville)

Halloween, October 31, 2019 – Morningside Assisted Living, 6-8 pm, will move indoors if raining.

Don’t miss Places to Eat Free (and Cheap) on Halloween! Grab a quick and cheap meal before your trick or treating and other Halloween activities! 

October 19, 20, 25-31, 2019Indoors Halloween at Cabela’s, various times. This is a big, free event where kids can trick-or-treat around the store, do crafts, and have a costume parade. See the link for the exact times and activities, but Saturday and Sunday events begins at noon and end at 5 pm.

November Rescheduled Halloween Events

November 1, 2019 – Trunk or Treat at Drayton Mills Marketplace This event from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm will include candy, face painting, a photo booth, and more! (Rescheduled due to weather)

November 1, 2019 – Bible Baptist in Simpsonville has rescheduled their Trunk-or-Treat to Friday due to weather. There will be inflatables, popcorn, and plenty of fun trunks to visit.

November 1, 2019- Kars R Us 3rd Annual Spooktacular! 300 Hearon Circle, Spartanburg – event reschedules due to weather. 1 – 5:30 pm

Halloween Festivals and Events

We have several massive Halloween festivals for kids in the Upstate. Some of these trick-or-treating events have been around since parents were kids and they are local favorites. Most of these events are non-scary events designed for small children, though I have not personally been to all of them.

Pumpkin Path at Hatcher Garden

This is a free, family-friendly, non-spooky trick or treat event at Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve. In addition to trick or treat, there are other fun activities.

*While this event is free, financial donations and pantry donations are appreciated. These donations will support The Haven, a shelter for homeless families in Spartanburg. See what items are requested for donation here.

October 24, 2019 from 4 pm – 6 pm

Enchanted Forest

Trick-or-Treat at the Pavilion through an enchanted forest filled with storybook characters. This event also includes bounce houses, carnival games, and a costume contest with the price of admission.  $7 in advance or $9 at the door.

Halloween at Heritage Park

October 26, 2019, 12:30 pm – 7:30 pm- Local groups and organizations gather to provide a Happy Halloween at Heritage Park during this community event! The event will have inflatables, vendors, games, and trick or treating in the evening. This is a FREE event.

Trick or Treating will occur 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

Halloween Hoopla

Greer City Park, Greer, SC

The Church at Greer Station and Resurrection Church present the annual Halloween event in Greer City Park. Free event for the city of Greer! Come in your best Halloween costume and enjoy carnival games, inflatables, live performances, tons of candy, and much more!

Boo!seum

Join TCMU – Spartanburg for their annual Boo!Seum event! From spooky experiments and ghostly art projects to eerie inventions and mysterious stories, you won’t want to miss this event! Make sure to be there for the annual Pumpkin Splat when they toss pumpkins from the roof.

Stewart Farms

Experience includes wagon rides, farm store, farm animals, honey bee observatory, the 2016 Culver’s corn maze, and a pumpkin patch. Fall season runs September 21st – October 27th.

Boo in the Zoo

Boo in the Zoo at the Greenville Zoo is a fun, family-friendly event. Trick or Treat as you walk through the zoo, and enjoy fun, not-so-spooky decorations, fun booths, and a walk through Dragon Alley.

Canceled October 19th due to weather. Use tickets any other night of the event.

Trick-or-treating at local stores and schools is a great way to give those Halloween costumes some extra use and fill up your kids’ candy baskets with little effort. These are the stores that either are offering trick-or-treating this year or have in the past but still have not announced their events this year.

October 26, 2019 –Autumn Harvest | TD Market Shop Greenville’s local produce while letting your kids trick-or-treat from local vendors. Activities include trick-or-treating, cupcake walks, and a costume contest. Free! 8 am – 12 pm Note: it is best to attend this event early. In the past candy has run out!

October 31, 2019Trick or Treat at TCMU Spartanburg will have trick or treating from 9-5.

Halloween Fun That is Worth the Drive

September 14 – October 27, 2019 – The Great Pumpkin Fest at Carowinds is a massive Halloween event complete with trick or treating through the amusement park for the youngest park visitors. It takes place on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am – 5 pm. *Teens and brave adults will want to check out Scarowinds which takes place during the evenings.

October 4 – 27, 2019 – The Great Pumpkin Patch Express is a train ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad complete with the Peanuts gang and a stop at the Great Pumpkin Patch.

October 26, 2019 – Halloweenfest | Downtown Brevard, Transylvania, NC Pumpkin carving contest, costume contests, parade, street vendors and more in Downtown Brevard beginning at 10 am. Free!

Harvest of Horror

Gilbert House of Terror

This haunted house was selected as one of South Carolina’s top rated haunts in 2016 by haunts.com. The guided haunt features 13 haunted scenes that change annually.

Nightmare Dungeon - Abandoned Cabin

They have a totally new redesign are open nightly September 13 through November 3, 2019. Tour the haunted, 2 story Abandoned Cabin. Tickets are $30 at the door. Under 10 years old are $20.

Madworld Haunted Attractions

This attraction makes haunted houses family friendly. During the day this attraction offers a pumpkin patch, hay bales, cow train, jumping pillow and more!  They also offer day time hours for their haunted hotel. Worried the kids will be scared? Purchase a no scare medallion, which gives the bearer the super powers to scare off the monsters. Medallions can also be purchased for the evening attractions.

Don’t let the family-friendly fun fool you, Madworld claims to the scariest haunted house in the state.

Tickets cost $25 for children 10 and under, $30 for children with the no scare medallion, $30 for adults, and $35 for adults with a no-scare medallion. Check the website for discounts offered on Thursdays and Sundays, as well as fast passes and package options.

The Fear Farm Haunted House
