Hollowed Earth Pottery, located in Hampton Station, offers a Potter’s Wheel Class and a Handbuilding Class for homeschool students.
Potter’s Wheel Class: This class is focused solely on making pottery using the potter’s wheel. Students will be taught the basic techniques required to make functional pottery like cups, mugs, bowls, and plates. No previous clay experience is necessary. Class size is limited to 4 students per class and is suggested for students age 10 and up. This class meets 4 times during the month. Cost: $150 for 4 classes.
Handbuilding class: This ceramics class focuses on teaching hand building techniques and allowing kids to use these techniques to create their own projects. Projects include hand built mugs, “monster pots”, pinch pots and coil pots. This class is suggested for students ages 5 and up. Cost: $100 for a 4 class bundle or $30/class.

This gym in Greer offers gymnastics classes for homeschool students in the early afternoon when the gym is significantly less crowded.
This homeschool partnership program offers K-12th programs in the academics and the arts. They meet at Grace Church on Pelham Road on Mondays and Wednesdays. High school students can enroll in college prep arts courses in Theater, Art, Music, Media Arts, and Creative Writing.

CHELC Homeschool Co-op
This homeschool group is the Christian Home Educators of Laurens County offering co-op classes, field trips, and fun days.
This historic estate in nearby Flat Rock, NC offers a 1-2 hour tour for groups of 10-65 people, Mondays-Fridays.

Monthly homeschool classes on STEAM topics. Students are divided by age. Families can choose 1 or two classes on each homeschool day. Museum member pricing: Free for adults, $25 for children 3 and up for one class, or $40 for both classes. Non-member pricing: $40 adults, $70 for children 3 and up for one class or $85 for both classes.

A 3rd Option homeschool accountability association that covers the entire state of SC. They offer in-person consultations and walk side by side with all families who are interested in homeschooling, even if they are not a member of the association.
On a Positive Note Piano Studio

RMSC offers a homeschool day each fall and spring. The 62 acre science center also offers fields trips which may include their labs, living history farm, and planetarium.
SC State Museum
The South Carolina State Museum offers a free day of lessons for SC homeschoolers on the third Thursday of each month. Registration prior to the event is required and the programs do fill up early.

UCHU STEAM Academy
Meeting in Landrum South Carolina, STEAM in a new co-op offering classes on Thursdays for kindergarten through high school age students.
Monthly homeschool classes ages 4 and up. Topics vary month to month. $8 per child, one adult per family is free, and children 3 and under who are not participating are free.
Additionally, the Upcountry History Museum offers tours for school-age children that immerse the kids in a period of history through exhibits, discussion, and hands-on activities.

This group on Facebook facilitates the planning of homeschool field trips for families in the Upstate.
Upstate Homeschool Co-op
A very popular co-op offering a full day of classes by paid teachers at Taylors First Baptist Church in Taylors. This group meets Mondays and Wednesdays (Monday only for elementary and middle school classes). Classes are offered K4-high school. Parents may drop- off children, but there is a volunteer requirement. A nursery is available.

Upstate South Carolina Area Secular Unschoolers
This Facebook community welcomes all homeschoolers regardless of religious affiliation and offers a place for homeschooling parents to ask and give advice as well as plan field trips and outings.

Offers homeschool PE classes for students 5 – 15 years old on Fridays.
Vanguard Homeschool Academy
A group that meets on Tuesdays at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Greer and offers classes for homeschoolers K4-highschool. Vanguard offers a variety of academic and enrichment classes to choose from. Students may enroll in just one or two classes or can choose to enroll in a full day of classes. Parents are asked to volunteer where possible. No nursery is available.
YMCA (Middle Tyger)
Offers homeschool PE – one hour of structured gym time and one hour of pool time on Wednesdays.
