The Children's Museum Summer Camps
Summer camps are BACK at The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in BOTH Greenville and Spartanburg. This summer, enroll your child in a fun and safe camp experience designed to spark discovery, collaboration, creation, learning and FUN!

TCMU summer camp will begin in both museum locations on June 7th, 2021. Each week of camp is centered around a different theme–ranging from Super Scientists to Art Adventures to Operation Ocean. Camps include multiple STEAM activities per day, hands-on museum play, special community guests and trained program guides.

In order to ensure the safety of all campers, TCMU will have several safety measures in place–including reduced camp class sizes and regular cleaning. All adults will be asked to wear masks and temperatures will be taken for both campers and teachers prior to the start of camp each day. Campers will remain with their classes throughout the duration of camp and museum capacity will be monitored during free play times.

TCMU-Greenville offers Preschool Age camp and Elementary Age camp for both half-day (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m) and full-day camps (9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.)
TCMU-Spartanburg offers Preschool Age camp only for half day camps, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Half day camp packages start at $150 per week for members and $175 for non-members.

Greenville Wet & Wild Outdoor Summer Camp

Offers: Four days of science education that focuses on the precious resource of water. Hosted by the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service, the 2021 camp is August 2-5 at Lake Robinson in Greer. Cost is $125 per child and $100 for each additional child. Scholarships are available. Registration and payments are due by July 5. This camp is for kids age 6-12.

USC Upstate Drama Camps

Offers: USC Upstate offers two drama/theatre summer day camps for kids between the ages of 8 – 18. Technical Theatre Camp is June 7 -11 from 10 am to 5 pm. Drama Camp is a two-week camp offered June 14- 18 and June 21-25 from 9 am to 5 pm. Each camp is held in USC Upstate’s Humanities and Performing Arts Center.

Chapman Foundation Summer Day Camp

Camp Love-a-Pet

Offers: Half-day camp for children who love animals.  The program, which is held at the Spartanburg Humane Society, teaches campers about basic dog obedience, responsible pet care, and issues impacting animal welfare. Different week-long sessions are designed for kids in grades 5-7 and grades 8-10. Two-hour mini-camps are also offered for children entering grades 3 and 4.
