Drive-Through Holiday Lights
Holiday Light Safari at Hollywild runs November 16, 2018 – January 5, 2019 from 6 pm – 9 pm. $6 per person or 4 pack admission for $24.
Upstate Holiday Light Show at the Greenville Pickens Speedway runs November 23, 2018 – December 31, 2018. $20 per car, minivan, truck, or SUV.
Anderson Christmas Lights opens Thanksgiving Day at 5:30 pm through Christmas Day. All vehicles are $10.
2018 Festival of Trees – Come see the holiday trees on display in December 2018 at multiple hotels in downtown Greenville. FREE
Lighting Ceremonies and Displays
Dickens of a Christmas – The giant Christmas tree at Denny’s Plaza in downtown Spartanburg is lit at the conclusion of Dickens of a Christmas held on November 27, 2018.
Christmas Lighting at Bob Jones University – Taking place on November 30, 2018 at 6:30 pm, this annual outdoor carol sing features the lighting of 100,000 lights during the singing of O Holy Night. FREE
Tree Lighting Ceremony at Greer City Park – December 7, 2018 from 5 pm – 8 pm. This family-friendly event also includes a visit from Santa.
Spectacular Home Light Displays
The Christmas House – A local favorite, this family welcomes visitors to see their home Christmas light display nightly during the season. Plan for traffic! It is open for viewing from Thanksgiving through December 31, 2018.
Hawk Creek Neighborhood on the westside of Spartanburg does a neighborhood version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Light Displays Worth the Drive
Speedway Christmas at Charlotte Motor Speedway – (November 18, 2018 – December 31, 2018) Prices vary depending on the day and you pay per vehicle. In addition to 3 million lights, there is also a Christmas village to explore.
Carowinds WinterFest – (Select nights November 18, 2018 – December 31, 2018) Guests can enjoy the theme park rides as well as enjoy 5 million lights, Christmas displays, and holiday entertainment. Tickets start at $26.
Holiday Lights on the River in Columbia (November 21, 2018 – December 31, 2018) Over a million lights on the 2-mile loop of the park. Includes a laser light show, hayrides, zip-line, Santa, and more. $20 per vehicle.
Winter Lights at NC Arboretum (November 16, 2018 – December 31, 2018) Open nightly from 6 pm – 10 pm. This beautiful light display event tends to sell out, so purchase tickets in advance! Priced individually at $18 for those 12 years and older, $12 children 5 – 11, and children 4 and under are free.
Christmas Town, USA in McAdenville, NC (November 30, 2018 – December 26, 2018) – This nearby town decks out completely for Christmas. You can either park and walk around the town or drive through (the 1.3 miles takes approximately 30-40 minutes to drive through). The lights are on nightly from 5:30-9:30 pm (Mon-Fri) and 5:30-11 (Sat-Sun).
