It’s January and the perfect time to get out as a family with our list of fun things to do in Spartanburg and nearby.  No matter what the weather holds, we have a list of fun indoor and outdoor ways to keep the kids busy and in shape through the colder months. Have fun!

January at the Library

The Spartanburg Library has virtual events in January for the community to enjoy. Here are a few not to miss:

  • Virtual story time on Tuesday at 11 am (alternates Preschool Storytime and Toddler Storytime).
  • DIY Ice Hockey Rink, Tuesday, January 5th at 4:30 pm. Make your own rink out of household items.
  • Roblox 101: Game and Design, Tuesday, January 19th at 4:30 pm. Join live via Zoom to learn about making video games.
  • Improv 101, Thursday, January 28th at 4:30 pm. Join an online workshop with Spartanburg Youth Theatre.

Bonsecours Wellness Arena

Even More Fun Things to Do in January

Did you know you can ice skate at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena? Skating on the Big Ice is offered on January 2, 3 and 18, 2021. Two sessions are offered from 1 to 2:30 pm and 3 to 4:30 pm.

Skate outdoors at Skating on the Square in downtown Spartanburg. Skating on the Square is open through January 18th, 2021.
