While most families have a traditional gathering on Thanksgiving Day, not everyone is doing that this year due to health concerns. Not to worry, if you are the one that is usually asked to just bring the pre-packaged rolls or salad mix, there are local restaurants waiting in the wings to take the place of the family cook. A new look to the holidays is just one more thing that 2020 is throwing at us, but just like everything else, we will get through it with a little help.

Special Thanksgiving Feasts and Catering in Spartanburg
Order up a delicious turkey with all the sides from Landrum’s Southside Smokehouse. Chef Sarah McClure will make your Thanksgiving meal so delicious, you might decide that skipping town next year to see family won’t happen.
Get your orders in ASAP, they aren’t open Thanksgiving day so you’ll have to pre-order and pick-up earlier in the week.

Take It Holmes
Have your meal catered by this local favorite! You can order a la carte or choose Take It Holmes’ meal for two. The meal includes turkey or ham, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing, green beans, rolls, and cranberry sauce. It also includes pecan or sweet potato pie for dessert! This is a fantastic deal at only $30, for parents of young children who are celebrating alone this year!

The Spartanburg Marriot is offering a full Thanksgiving meal to-go this year that feeds four people, costs $100, and includes a choice of herb-roasted turkey or honey dijon ham as well as garden salad, creamy butter whipped potatoes, cornbread dressing, and sweet potato casserole. Either pumpkin or pecan pie is included. Must order by November 21, 2020.
You can also dine-in at the restaurant on Thanksgiving Day.

Blue Moon Specialties
Blue Moon makes it super easy to order a big Thanksgiving meal through their online portal. You can get turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and several homemade desserts. Order by November 17 and pick up either November 24 or 25.

CityRange Steakhouse and Grill
The restaurant will offer a Thanksgiving Feast To-Go for $99.99 that feeds four people. Pre-orders for the Thanksgiving Feast To-Go can be made now through Nov. 22 by calling the restaurant or ordering online. The Thanksgiving To-Go pre-orders will be available for pick up before the holiday.
Their dine-in Thanksgiving Day menu will be three courses with prices ranging from $25-$49/person. Reservations are needed.

Wade’s is a true Spartanburg staple. For 2020, they are offering frozen food for pickup but not cooked meals. They are suggesting families who want this option pick up food now since they aren’t holding anything and their frozen food lasts six months. They will be open Thanksgiving Day for dine-in.

If you are just looking to completely throw tradition out the door (and why not, it is 2020 after all), then head to one of the two Spartanburg Konnichiwa locations to enjoy a delicious meal of traditional, November 26th Japanese food.

You can always count on Spartanburg based Denny’s to feed you, and Thanksgiving is no different. They are open 24 hours a day, and you can be thankful for that!
Keeping it simple is never a bad idea. IHOP can fulfill your needs for breakfast before the big event or a late snack when you don’t feel like leftovers.

Thanksgiving tends to bring out the big appetites in people. If you are a people (read: all of humanity), Golden Corral may be just the place for you with their all-you-can-eat spread and ROLLS. What is Thanksgiving Day without a good yeast roll slathered in butter? They have updated their restaurants to clean more frequently due to COVID.

24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Waffle House has your needs covered on any holiday, but especially on Thanksgiving. No, you will not be feasting on sweet potato casserole and Aunt Margie’s herby stuffing, but smothered hash browns, blueberry waffles, and bacon are not the worst trade-off we’ve ever seen. You probably won’t even miss the dinner rolls.
