Are you looking for a family friendly corn maze to visit? Would your kids love to pick their own pie pumpkin to turn into a jack o lantern at home? Strawberry Hill in Chesnee has all these fun fall activities and more for your family to do when you visit this farm that covers over 1000 acres. Whether you want to just grab some fresh produce or go for some fun, we have all the info you’ll need to know before you go.

About Strawberry Hill

Beginning September 22nd Strawberry Hill will transform from the summer produce farm we know into a  Fall Harvest Market! They will have a huge selection of pumpkins and gourds grown on the farm, mums, hay bales and corn stalks. You will also find apples brought in from just around the corner in Hendersonville, North Carolina. If there is a fall time favorite you are looking for and you can’t find it here, it doesn’t exist.

During the Fall Season that runs through October 28th, fun can be had at the farm starting around lunch time. A combo ticket will allow you to enjoy both the corn maze and the wagon ride.

Activities at Strawberry Hill

The corn maze which covers 10 acres has tons of turns and twist that can provide your family with some awesome device free fun. October is Bully Prevention Month, and in honor of that the corn maze theme this year is Spookley The Square Pumpkin. The children’s book teaches the importance of being tolerant and kind to those who are different than us. There is also a family friendly night time “flashlight maze.” Keeping this a family friendly attraction means they don’t allow any scary costumes or masks. Strawberry Hill notes on their website, if you are looking for a haunted type attraction – “this is not the place for you.”

The wagon ride adventure will take about an hour and will take you to meet the farms famous “Mr Troll” and his farm animals. The wagon stops and lets everyone off to enjoy a playground area and a chance to pick your own pie pumpkin. The wagon ride is not stroller friendly, so if you are heading to this first, I suggest leaving the stroller in the car. Be sure to bring a camera though, I promise there will be lots of cute photo opportunities.

During the fall season Strawberry Hill also offers weekend birthday party packages and rental of the event barn. The barn is already beautifully decorated for fall, so that eliminates the cost and effort of decorating for the party. Party packages vary and some packages include the price of the wagon ride.

Before you leave, make sure to stop buy and grab a treat from the ice cream parlor in the cafe. The strawberry, blackberry & peach ice cream is made in house with fruit from the farm.
